MP3 Players That RecordOne of the great features of some MP3 Players is that they record too. Whether you want to record music, speeches, or class lectures this is a very handy feature to have on your MP3 Player. But not all record as well as you want in large and noisy environments, so be careful. Not all MP3
Players have the ability to record live music or other stuff of
interest. I'm sure that many people don't even know that you can get
this ability on an MP3 Player. I've been recording information, music,
class lectures, to do lists, and other stuff for years on my MP3 Player. When I'm working out or doing my daily run (well, I try to run everyday but sometimes I don't) I often remember something important, come up with a new idea, or just want to remind myself of something I need to do. I can turn off the music for a moment, record the thought or reminder, turn the music back on and continue what I was doing. Having the ability to take notes anywhere at anytime can come in real handy too. If you're like me you generally take your MP3 Player with you everywhere so it's usually right on hand to record whatever you want, when you want. Who ever has a pen and paper when they need it? If you want to record a business meeting or any kind of meeting for reference later you can do this without losing track or possibly missing something since you were taking notes. I find that I can concentrate better on the event and then if necessary go back and review some material. Making shopping or a to do list on the fly has really helped me to stop forgetting things and having to go back to the store a second time. There is nothing that gets my goat than to have to go back to get something I forgot. Especially when I'm trying to follow a recipe that calls for very specific items. Most of the major manufacturers have models that can record. So whatever brand or model you prefer may already have a model with the recording feature. The best ones have a microphone built in to allow you to record anything quickly and with no hassle. But there may be limits on how far away the music or voice may be so make sure you are aware of any issues. You should also check out the software and menu system on the MP3 Player you are thinking about getting to make sure it's easy to use and an easy way to record. You want to make sure it doesn't record over your music or other important data. My
favorite model is the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 2 GB unit. It has a ton of
features (takes memory cards and has FM radio too), especially the
record function with a built in microphone. The menus are simple and
clear to use and has some great software features. At a cost of about
$35, weighing less than 1 ounce, and clips onto just about anything, you
can't find a better MP3 Player for the money and convenience. You can
