4GB MP3 Players4GB MP3 Players provide plenty of bang for the buck and even if you want all the extra features like FM radio, Video playback, and great software they still come in at a great price. There's a lot of people willing to pay big bucks for flashy, heavy, and designer style MP3 players. The Apple series of iPods is a good example or even the Microsoft Zune Players. But many of us don't want to spend up to $300 for an MP3 player no matter how much memory it's got or how many rhinestones. A 4GB MP3 Player will hold up to 1000 or more songs or over 30 hours of play time. I really don't need any more than 8-10 hours under most situations since I'll be back with my computer. And I really don't want to lug around a huge and heavy MP3 player either. There are a couple of features that are important to me though. I do want an FM Radio Tuner, and a quick easy menu system, and something that's small and light to carry. I also want my MP3 player to be tough and take a beating or drop to the ground every once in awhile. I don't play videos on my MP3 player so I don't care about video play back but you can get that on the smaller 4GB MP3 players if you want it. I don't want Bluetooth or to take pictures with my MP3 player either but the expense models have those features these days. There are some 4GB MP3 players that you can add a storage card with up to 64 GB capacity at a later date if you want. Based on my criteria, here's what I think are the best 4GB MP3 players that provide the maximum features for the least amount of money (for those of you looking for the iPod shuffle, go read the reviews - everyone I know with the latest model thinks it sucks): Number One Choice The SanDisk
Sansa Clip+ 4GB.
It comes in red, blue, and black. It weighs less than an ounce, has a FM
Radio Tuner, 15 hour battery life, it's about 2" by 1.5" x
1/2", and a built in clip. This model is so small you don't even
know you have it with you. I have the red one and love it. It's tough,
easy to operate, and does everything I want. And the cost? Around $40!!!
You can learn more about the features here: SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 4 GB MP3 Player (Red) Number Two Choice The SanDisk
Sansa Fuze 4GB Video MP3 Player.
This unit comes in blue and black. It weighs about 2 ounces and is
5.3" X 5.2" X 1;7". It has a 1.9" screen, 24 hours
of battery life, voice recording with built in mic, FM Radio Tuner, and
storage card slot. My only problem with this unit is that it doesn't
come in red. It has everything you would want and the cost is around $60
or under!! You can learn more about this model here: SanDisk Sansa Fuze 4 GB Video MP3 Player (Blue) Based on my personal experience and those whom I know, everyone loves these two units. The fancy models like the Zune and iPods cost 2-3 times as much and often don't provide the same features. The first versions were great but they keep adding features, weight, and cost. And if you get too fancy, there goes the ease of use too. The basic idea is to get a simple, lightweight, and functional 4 GB MP3 Player. And you can find a few at the $40 to $80 range that do all that and more. Why pay more unless you are buying a status symbol? That's really all the more expensive models (and brand name) have to offer for most people who just want a portable MP3 player that works. If you have the money and the desire to go to the 4GB MP3 players that are designer models, I understand. I'll bet you can get some of those high dollar models made out of silver of gold. But don't drop it, leave it laying around, or not back up your music. You will be sorry if you don't but those are good ideas for any MP3 player too. |
